🌱 Port Jefferson Daily: Tara’s Inn Rated “Cheap Eat” + Yoga Day

Hey, neighbors. It’s me, Debora Whitehead, your host of the Port Jefferson Daily — back in your inbox with all the most important things happening in our community today. Let’s do this…

First, today’s weather:

A morning shower in spots. High: 76, low: 61.

Here are the top 5stories today in Port Jefferson:

  1. Are you aware of menu prices at Tara’s Inn’s longtime restaurant in Port Jefferson? The spot has received excellent reviews on Yelp and Google for its costs and food quality. Located at 1519 Main St, the eatery offers a deal of $2 for burgers and sandwiches; who can beat that on Long Island? (Daily Voice)
  2. West Meadow beach is closed for swimming because bacteria found in the water can cause gastrointestinal issues and infections in the eye and throat. Suffolk Healthy Department announced the closure would last until tests show the level of the bacteria decreases and become unharmful. If you would like more information, please, contact the Bathing Beach Hotline at 852-5822. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
  3. Saturday is for “Shake ‘N Make Music” at the Port Jefferson Free Library. Let the little ones kick off the weekend with some fun in the library’s Meeting Room at 10 a.m. on June 4. (PJFL)
  4. The 7th Annual United Nations Yoga Day is heading our way on June 21. There will be Yoga classes, meditation, vendors, and more hosted at the Meadow Club located at 1147 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. (TBR News Media)
