A female foreign national (WNA) of Australian nationality was found dead in a villa in the tourist area, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
North Lombok Police Chief, AKBP I Wayne Sudarmant confirmed the incident. The foreigner who died was Elizabeth Susan Long (60).
The police chief gave his statement on Saturday (7/8/2022).
They reported that the victim was first discovered by three associates who are both foreigners on Friday (6/5) at around 09.00 WITA. At that time both the companions wanted to invite the victim to do yoga together.
“Before the victim died, the victim and her three friends had made an appointment to do yoga. And that day also the victim’s friend, who was invited to do yoga at the victim’s house, on Friday at around 08.30 WITA for coming.” Wayan explained to Sudarmant.
Before being found dead, three of the victim’s accomplices, namely Shalin from Australia, Martin from Belgium and Sarah from New Zealand, came to visit the victim’s home at Villa Gypsy Yoga, Lendang Luar Hamlet, Malacca Village, Victory District, North Lombok, NTB Were. ,
The trio did not meet the victim directly as the victim was in the room and ignored their calls. Shortly after, witnesses visited the victim’s brother, Robert Earl Long, and then called the victim to his room.
“After a while because there was no response from the victim, eventually the victim’s brother went straight to the victim’s room and found the victim dead on the floor of his room,” Wayne explained.
Once found, witnesses immediately informed local residents and the police. After this the victim’s body was taken to Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram for examination or post-mortem. At present, the victim’s body is waiting for the arrival of the family members at Bhayangkara Hospital.
